Keep the dream alive

Members and supporters of the Society have been pivotal in the rebirth of the Welsh Highland Railway since 1992 when the Society was established, and have enabled the Society to carry out a vast range of preservation and improvement projects on the railway. Some of these projects include:

  • Steam locomotive restoration
  • Track repair and renewal
  • Carriage building
  • Building conservation
  • Passenger enhancements
  • Heritage interpretation

The Society also supports the railway through the recruitment of volunteers, and the organisation of working parties undertaking a wide range of work from locomotive restoration to events co-ordination and trackwork.

Becoming a part of the society is open to everyone, regardless of whether they’re interested in railways. So why not join us, and help keep the dream alive?
