Rhedir y Gymdeithas yn gyfan gwbl gan wirfoddolwyr, pob un ohonynt gyda\u2019r un angerdd a\u2019r weledigaeth i ddatblygu Rheilffordd Ucheldir Cymru (RhUC) ac i wireddu ei photensial. Mae hyn yn cynnwys ein Cyfarwyddwyr etholedig, ein Haelodau, gweinyddwyr gwefan a\u2019n cydgysylltwyr gwirfoddol a phob un yn chwarae eu rhan yng ngweithrediad y Gymdeithas. Gallwch ddarganfod rhagor amdanynt a sut y gallwch chi helpu yma.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yn ogystal, mae\u2019r Gymdeithas yn cyflwyno dwy wobr yn flynyddol yn ein Cyfarfod Cyffredinol Blynyddol (CCB) i gydnabod cyfraniadau a chyflawniadau unigolion neu grwpiau sydd wedi mynd tu hwnt i\u2019n helpu ni ar ein siwrnai i gadw\u2019r freuddwyd yn fyw. <\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ein Bwrdd<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Mae Bwrdd etholedig Cymdeithas Rheilffordd Eryri yn gyfrifol am arolygiaeth strategol a llywodraethu\u2019r Gymdeithas ynghyd \u00e2 gweithrediadau diwrnod i ddiwrnod. Daw ein Cyfarwyddwyr o gefndiroedd amrywiol gan ddod \u00e2 phrofiadau a mewnwelediadau gwahanol gyda nhw. Etholir Aelodau\u2019r Bwrdd drwy\u2019r broses CCB a hysbysebir swyddi agored yn Rhodiwr Eryri \/ Snowdon Ranger, cylchgrawn y Gymdeithas, ynghyd \u00e2 sianelau cyfathrebu eraill.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ian King<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Etholir Cadeirydd y Gymdeithas yn flynyddol gan y Cyfarwyddwyr i arwain y Bwrdd a\u2019r Gymdeithas yn gyflawn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ian has lived in Essex for most of his life. Amongst his earliest memories is being smuggled into Carnforth shed by his grandad towards the end of steam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He worked the City of London where he specialised in insurance claims against lawyers. He volunteered in the 80\u2019s but drifted away coming back as the WHR revival got going in 2000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For many years he was the Society\u2019s Finance Director and Membership Director so was most likely to be found driving a spreadsheet. You may bump into Ian at Harbour Station where he can be found as a volunteer platform host.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Jo Charles<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mae\u2019r Dirprwy Gadeirydd yn cefnogi\u2019r Cadeirydd a\u2019r Gymdeithas ac yn dirprwyo pan fydd angen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jo retired in 2019 following a 36 year career in the NHS in North Wales. She was elected as a Director in 2022 and temporarily also took on the role of Company Secretary from 2023-24. As Deputy Chair she will continue to support the development and strengthening of the Society’s administrative and governance processes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After initially volunteering as a Station \/ On-train host, Jo is now training to be a Guard, and also appears as Santa’s Chief Elf on our very popular WHR Santa trains.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Yn ystod ei yrfa, sefydlodd a chadeiriodd Roger Ysgol Fusnes Breifat i hyfforddi uwch-reolwyr i redeg sefydliadau llwyddiannus. Yn dilyn gwerthiant y diddordebau busnesau hyn, mae erbyn hyn ar Fwrdd nifer o Elusennau, Cymdeithasau a Chlybiau sy\u2019n gysylltiedig \u00e2\u2019i hob\u00efau. Mae\u2019r rhain yn cynnwys CRhFf a CRhE, ble mae, yn ogystal \u00e2 bod yn rhan o griw y liocomotifau, yn rhannu ymarferion ac arloesiadau da i helpu\u2019r ddwy Gymdeithas i ffynnu er lles yr Aelodau a\u2019r Rheilffordd.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Yn dilyn gyrfa mewn Rheolaeth Rhaglen TG Bydol (yn bennaf gyda chwmn\u00efoedd Telathrebu), symudodd Mark i fyw wrth ochr ein rheilffordd. O\u2019r herwydd, manteisiodd ar y cyfle i gynyddu ei amser gwirfoddoli ar lawr caban injan, ond difethwyd hyn wrth iddo gytuno i redeg portffolio TG y rheilffordd!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cadeirydd Digwyddiadau a Phwyllgor Codi Arian a Chyfarwyddwr Grwpiau Lleol yr Ardal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mae David wedi gwirfoddoli ar RhUC a RhFf ers 2013, ond mae wedi bod yn ymddiddori mewn cadwraeth rheilffyrdd st\u00eam mewn mannau eraill ers 2008. Yn dilyn cwrs coleg, dechreuodd gwrs prentisiaeth mewn cwmni cadwraeth peirianneg st\u00eam yn Swydd Surrey gan barhau fel peintiwr a llythrennwr cerbydau rheilffordd cyn symud i Borthmadog. Ymunodd \u00e2\u2019r Bwrdd yn 2023.

Wedi cyfnod fel aelod o staff y gwaith cerbydau yn Boston Lodge, symudodd David o\u2019r ardal i \ngymryd r\u00f4l fel Rheolwr Injans ar Reilffordd Perrygrove. Mae\u2019n parhau i dreulio amser ar y rheilffordd yma wrth yrru ein trenau a chefnogi prosiectau eraill pan mae amser yn caniat\u00e1u.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bu\u2019n gwirfoddoli ar Wyriad RhFf ac ar y ffordd haearn ac arweiniodd d\u00eem a fu\u2019n ail-adeiladu wagenni ac chreu arwyddion gorsafoedd ar gyfer RhUC. Yn ogystal, bu\u2019n gweithio ar brosiect llwyddiannus pryd yr ail-adeiladwyd injan Austerity lled safonol allan o ddarnau. Yn y brifysgol, astudiodd Bob archaeoleg. Er er fod wedi ymddeol erbyn hyn, bu\u2019n gweithio ar ystod eang o safleoedd cyn-hanes, rhai oed diwydiannol ac adeiladau hanesyddol. Yn awr mae\u2019n cynghori RhFf a RhUC ar archaeoleg. Fel myfyriwr, gwirfoddolodd yn gyntaf ar Wyriad RhFf, yna ar y ffordd haearn a Boston Lodge, gan ddychwelyd yn dilyn toriad hir i helpu adeiladu RhUC. Enwir y dyfarniad yma er cof am y diweddar Francis Blake. Sefydlwyd y dyfarniad yn 2017 i gydnabod gr\u0175p sydd wedi mynd heibio\u2019r filltir ychwanegol i gyflawni yn ystod y flwyddyn.
