The Project:

The K1 group are responsible for the general upkeep of the locomotive. They look after winter maintenance and any improvements to its operation.

The K1 Group

The K1 Group are responsible for the general maintenance of the locomotive now that it is in service with the Welsh Highland Railway as well as addressing the continual need for funds for the work. 

The K1 group consist of:

K1 Group Membership:

Potential volunteers and other supporters may join the K1 Group at a discounted rate of 25 for 5 years. Members receive the K1 newsletter and the K1 occasional journal (Pioneer) free of charge. Cheques to "WHRS K1 Group", please enclose SAE for Membership Card.

Subscriptions: these were due on 1st November 2011 for the year 2011/12. Please send 6 (or 25 for 2011/16) to Ian McKenzie at the above address. Thank you in anticipation.

The next K1 Group newsletter will be published after the February working party.
All members should have received edition 10 of 'Pioneer' before last Christmas.
Additional copies are available from Ian McKenzie for 2 each,  or free to any member who did not received one.

Note Re - The K1 Group 2012 AGM:
The date is now the same weekend as the WHRS AGM.
A flyer will be sent to all members prior to the AGM
