2014 Site Changes

  • 11th December 2014 - Post Christmas working parties - Volunteers sought. Award for Tryfan Junction Restoration

  • 9th December 2014 - A update on Locomotives. First is K1. There's a brief update to its status including a picture of one of its last workings on the Trustee Day's special service on the K1 opening page, together with a copy of the leaflet handed out on that day. K1 is now being prepared for its 10 year boiler inspection. Help is always need for this and the more help we get the quicker this historic locomotive will be back in steam. Work has started and details are in the November working party report.
    The second is a big (and long overdue) update for the NG15. A summary of the October and November working parties together with a fuller report for the December working party, are available on the reports page. Also added are the working party datesfor the first three months of 2015.

  • 26th November 2014 - Appeal for help on Santa Trains added. Wessex Group meeting dates for 2015 added

  • 17th October 2014 - Dinas Hostel Project - Potential Use Survey added

  • 8th October 2014 - Please note that there is a new date for the Joint Landscaping Group's Autumn Blitz working party. The schedule of work intended to be covered  on the working party has also been added. 

  • 25th September 2014 - Added some information from Inside Motion regarding the  trackgang dates going into 2015. See the Track Dates page.

  • 22nd September 2014 - Updated the email address on the Officers page for the editor of The Snowdon Ranger magazine and updated the press dates for future issues as well as the editor's email address on that page.

  • 17th September 2014 - Updated Joint Landscaping Groups reports with those now published in TSR. Also archived earlier reports in a rearranged archive section. Updated working party dates page.

  • 16th September 2014 - Winner of this year's Token of Appreciation Award announced

  • 2nd September 2014 - Auction of Jonathan Clay print of Russell at Superpower is announced.  
  • 30th August 2014 - After a bit of a break from updates due to the summer holidays and helping run trains, the first update regards Superpower.
    Please see the announcement from David Firth with a call for volunteers for the event. These large galas don't run themselves so we need as many volunteers to help as possible to help with preparation, running and tidying up afterwards. Thanks.

  • 28th June 2014 - Details and an appeal for help with the Joint Landscaping Group's Summer Trim Working Party on July 11th - 14th. Please help if you can. We do need more help for these weekends if we're to make the WHR look and cared for and tidy for our visitors.

  • 13th May 2014 - Appeal added for volunteer help at the Rail Ale Festival May 16-18

  • 12th May 2014 - Appeal added for Volunteer to saw firewood at Dinas

  • 28th April 2014 - Urgent call for help 2-5 May 2014 on the Society stand at “Our Railway Adventure Event”

  • 25th February 2014 Program of work for the forthcoming Joint Landscaping Group's Spring Makeover working party in March. Please note that there is an urgent call for more volunteers to avoid having to cancel the working party. We're sure there must be more members out there willing to help.

  • 11th February 2014 Details of forthcoming East Anglian Group meeting added

  • 3rd February 2014 First details and call for volunteers for the Joint Landscaping Group's Spring Makeover working party in March - added to the working party dates page.

  • 31st January 2014 Added Trackwork Programme 2014

  • 10th January 2014  Added West Midlands Group 2014 Programme

  • 7th January 2014 - Added the full report for the JLG's Summer Trim working party together with the dates for the 2014 working parties.
